The organisation has assembled a dedicated team comprising volunteers, community leaders, and staff, all working together towards a common goal. Additionally, SSSR benefits from a broad network of partner organisations, social activists, and friends. Its vision is to create an educated, healthy, and economically self-reliant society. The mission revolves around socio-economic empowerment, primarily focusing on women, by nurturing both human and natural resources to uplift marginalized and disadvantaged sections of society.

  • Child Rights Programme

    District

    The organisation has been actively championing child rights since 1989, with community-driven efforts at Shiv Shiksha Sadan Secondary School. It expanded its impact by launching the MoYAS- YUVA PAHAL programme, empowering adolescents and youth groups to protect children from violence, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic in all Rajasthan districts from September 2021 to March 2024. It also provides 24/7 emergency outreach services to children in need, care, and protection across the entire Tonk District, supported by Childline India Foundation Mumbai since January 2012. Presently, with financial support from Empower – The Emerging Markets Foundation Limited UK/US, it is working on the Prevention of Child Early and Forced Marriage (CEFM) project. This project aims to enhance girls' leadership, life skills, and advocacy, ultimately improving the lives of girls and young women in Tonk communities from July 1st, 2022, to June 2023.

  • Healthcare Programmes

    The organization is actively involved in a range of health initiatives. These include maternity care, promotion of institutional delivery, and reproductive child health programmes, supported by The Hans Foundation since 2011. It is also engaged in strengthening the ICDS system and community involvement through the "Making it Happen" Project, funded by Tata Trusts- TINI, in Tonk District. In Bundi District, they empower the younger generation to take control of their sexual health in 50 villages with the "Adolescent: Nai Umang" programme, supported by PFI. Additionally, they provide health counselling, medical camps, awareness workshops, girls' education support, educational classes, and women empowerment schemes, thanks to the support of Isthmus, Aditya, and Beta CSR healthcare initiatives in rural Tonk. It also runs "Mission Gaurav," offering assistance to migrant labourers in Malpura and Tonk Blocks of Tonk District.

  • Livelihoods Programme

    The organisation is engaged in various livelihood initiatives. One of its key activities is operating the UJAALA Milk Producer Company in collaboration with NDDB, focusing on pooling, purchasing, processing, and marketing milk from rural areas in Rajasthan. Additionally, it provides consulting services for agricultural technologies transformation through the PINCER APP, covering 15 districts across five Indian states. It also manages the SATAT SHEHAR Project, which aims to empower urban poor communities in ten Bastis in Jaipur District to foster sustainable and inclusive cities through people-led initiatives, with financial support from IGSSS, New Delhi. Furthermore, it conducts research, baseline assessments, and mid-term programme reviews in the Rajasthan RACP Implemented Area, supported by SUTRA Consulting Pvt and RACP.
