Sai Seva Sangh aims to provide education to underprivileged children in their local community, offer free shelter to elderly women, and create a cost- Read morefree support system for a rural Special School catering to differently-abled individuals. In its efforts to educate underprivileged children, it focused on a slum area surrounded by small-scale industries. Despite the absence of formal systems and infrastructure, the determination was clear—to gather as many children as possible from the nearby slums and teach them basic literacy. The journey began with 26 children, and it soon expanded its offerings to include extracurricular activities such as art, dance, and sports, enriching their learning experiences beyond the standard academic curriculum. In response to the needs of the community, Sai Seva Sangh established an orphanage for girls who had tragically lost one or both parents under circumstances beyond their control. This led to the inception of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Mandir, initiated by Sai Seva Sangh. The primary objective was to combat child labour in the Moosapet slum area, which was surrounded by small-scale industries.

  • Old age home

Established in 1989, this facility stands as the society's flagship establishment. Presently, it houses 25 members who benefit from essential services such as hygienically prepared nutritious meals and weekly medical check-ups. Additionally, residents have access to spiritual books and periodicals. The home is equipped with amenities like solar-powered hot water, a television with a CD player, and an annual outing.
Most of the residents rise at around 4 a.m. during the auspicious Brahma Muhurtham to conduct sacred rituals like Omkaram, Suprabhatham, and a puja dedicated to Lord Ganesh within the campus. Following a wholesome breakfast, some residents assist in vegetable preparation in the kitchen, while others help the orphanage children prepare for school.

  • Skill refinement programme

The Skill Refinement Program (SRP) has a primary objective: to empower young individuals with both theoretical knowledge and a positive mindset, enabling them to pursue meaningful employment opportunities and ultimately achieve self-sufficiency. The SRP places significant emphasis on enhancing employability by encompassing various key areas:
    1. Computer Literacy: The computer centre introduces students to the fundamentals of computer literacy, laying a strong foundation for advanced computer skills they may require in their future careers.
    2. English: The spoken English course is designed to impart basic English language skills, supporting youth in pursuing higher education, excelling in future job prospects, and confidently engaging in social interactions.
    3. Soft Skills: Corporate volunteers conduct sessions on soft skills to prepare participants for the professional workplace.

  • Community service

As an extension of educational efforts, the organisation is actively addressing the basic amenity challenges faced by the parents of the organization's children. The initiatives include providing authorized electricity connections at reduced rates, ensuring a clean drinking water supply, and implementing approved drainage facilities sanctioned by municipal authorities. These utility projects have had a significant positive impact, allowing students to allocate more time to their studies, a privilege they were previously denied due to issues such as a lack of clean drinking water and electricity.
    Our Initiatives:
    1. Weekly Medical Clinic
    2. Annual Health Camp
    3. Counselling Services

  • Sri Satya Sai Deenajanodharana Pathakam

As a natural extension of the school, the organisation recognized the need to establish an orphanage for girls. This decision was prompted by encounters with children who either had single parents unable to care for them or had tragically lost both parents due to accidents or severe illnesses. The objective was to provide a loving home to girl children who found themselves in these dire circumstances.
These girls reside alongside the elderly residents of our old-age home, creating a warm and familial atmosphere. They coexist, sharing love, affection, and providing each other with essential moral support. Throughout the year, various festivals are celebrated within the organization, fostering enthusiasm and active participation from all residents. The orphanage cultivates a nurturing environment that feels like home to all its children.
To ensure the well-being of the residents, the organisation regularly organizes medical camps throughout the year.
