Reap Benefit aims to foster champions of small solutions within communities across India. It aims to build a “Solve Network”, a network of partners, c Read morehapters, individuals and platforms that act collectively towards solving environmental problems. Through its platform, Solve Ninja, it engages young citizens in solving small but impactful problems in their local communities. The platform enables users to report issues, initiate campaigns, share solution hacks, and contribute tech-enabled civic solutions. The Solve Ninja App serves as a city-wide dashboard, providing crowdsourced hyperlocal data to empower citizens, local organisations, and Governments in making informed decisions for better neighbourhoods. The goal is to create a measurable and meaningful impact by encouraging individuals to take action and become agents of change in their communities while promoting transparency and accountability in local governance. The organisation runs grassroots-level programmes, organises workshops and hackathons to train participants and provides a platform to foster public problem-solving.

Impact

Reap Benefit has achieved impacts through its programmes, with 83% of Solve Ninjas recognizing the crucial role of citizens in governance, 75% taking civic actions, 50% reporting community problems to local authorities, 60% developing civic solutions, and 82% expressing a desire to continue working together, moreover, the Solve Ninja initiative has activated 52,018 participants, diverting 6,65,000 tonnes of waste, collecting 825,000 data points, saving 1,712,812 units of energy, conserving 5,43,29,512 litres of water, building 337 civic innovations, dedicating 6,30,000 hours to public problem-solving, and taking 60,000 civic actions.

Programs

  • Solvathon Programme

    This Hackathon is an exclusive event organised by Solve Ninja, aimed at public problem solvers. It spans over 1-2 days and brings together teams from schools and colleges to collaborate, build prototypes, and showcase civic solutions to the Solve network. The event provides a platform for participants to learn, experiment, and network with peers and experts, taking public problem-solving to the next level. It encourages innovation and creativity in finding solutions to societal challenges, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for participants to develop their ideas and make a positive impact in their communities.

  • Solve Bootcamps Programme

    Reap Benefit conducts boot camps in schools and colleges, training students in public problem-solving on themes like water, sanitation, and waste. The camps offered range from a 6-month program to 3-day courses. Solve Bootcamp Build 1 community is a 3-6 month programme. Solve Bootcamp Express is an expedited 3-day workshop. Solve Bootcamp Residential is a 2-3 day residential programme. These boot camps seek to equip students with critical problem-solving skills, critical thinking, empathy and other related skills. Mentors guide students, with special Solve Ninja Toolkits and students are awarded certificates upon completion of the course.
