Impact

QRG Foundation's efforts reach over 70,000 students in more than 700 schools daily in the district, with a kitchen employing 160 staff, including cooks, and a fleet of 30 vans ensuring the timely and hassle-free delivery of meals.

  • Health & Nutrition Programme

    District

    QRG Foundation's Havells Mid-Day Meal Programme fights hunger and malnutrition, focusing on children in need. It began in 2005, addressing a lack of manpower and school attendance issues in Rajasthan. Partnering with the Government, it provides daily mid-day meals to over 70,000 students across 700+ schools. Its state-of-the-art kitchen ensures fresh, hygienic, and nutritious food, reflecting Havells' quality commitment. This initiative significantly boosts attendance, reduces dropout rates, and promotes gender equality. A surprise 2022 inspection garnered overwhelmingly positive feedback, affirming the programme's positive impact on the lives it touches.

  • Sanitation Programme

    District

    The QRG Foundation is dedicated to advancing Water, Health, and Hygiene (WASH) programmes in schools. Havells' initiative, beginning in 2014, introduced over 4000 eco-friendly bio-toilets in Alwar's Government schools. These bio-toilets convert waste into biogas and water, addressing sanitation issues. Sensitization workshops aimed at instilling good hygiene habits, supported by creative activities. Havells also contributed funds for toilet maintenance, ensuring cleanliness. Collaborating with Project Baala, it provided eco-friendly sanitary pads and awareness programmes, reaching hundreds of girls in Alwar and across India. These efforts improved attendance, health, cognitive development, and promoted gender equality, fostering better WASH practices in communities.

  • Education Programmes

    QRG Foundation is actively involved in transformative initiatives. Its partnership with Plaksha University is notable, with the "Havells Research Building" playing a central role in promoting innovation. Over 300 students and faculty members have already benefitted from this facility, fostering technological development.

    Furthermore, the QRG Foundation collaborates with BML Munjal Foundation and Ashoka University to provide scholarships to underprivileged students, making higher education accessible. It also contributes to improving school infrastructure by recycling waste wood into tables and benches and donating over 4,000 sets to Government schools. Additionally, it supports sustainability by providing recycled copies to schoolchildren. These endeavours reflect its dedication to education, innovation, and community welfare.

  • Environmental Programmes

    QRG Foundation is committed to a sustainable future and has achieved 'Water Positive' status, making it India's first FMEG Company to do so. It implemented various initiatives in its plants, such as zero discharge facilities and advanced water harvesting systems, significantly reducing water consumption through monitoring and controlling utilities. Additionally, it recognizes the importance of forests in preserving biodiversity and mitigating climate change. It has planted over 18 lakh trees in Bhopal, Neemrana, and Alwar through a partnership with Madhya Pradesh Van Vikas Nigam, ensuring a remarkable survival rate of over 85%. Moreover, it is creating "KanyaUpvan" in Alwar by planting a tree on the birth of every girl child, contributing to afforestation and water conservation in the region.

  • Skill Development Programme

    QRG Foundation, with a strong focus on children and youth, is committed to shaping the future through skill development initiatives. It has inaugurated the Havells Electrical Skill Development Centers in Assam and Delhi, equipping students with state-of-the-art equipment to enhance their skills and contribute to national growth. In addition, it has established a classroom/lab in ITI Alwar, Rajasthan, and built two classrooms for ITI in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, reinforcing its dedication to improving school infrastructure and empowering young individuals for a brighter tomorrow.
