It fervently champions Gandhian constructive initiatives that were close to his heart throughout his lifetime. For over four decades, the Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation has been actively contributing to the socio-economic landscape of the nation. Its mission revolves around embodying the ideals of the venerable Shri Jamnalal Bajaj while fervently propagating Gandhian constructive initiatives on both domestic and international fronts. The enduring relevance of Jamnalal Bajaj's visionary principles has transcended time, serving as a guiding light for successive generations. In a bid to commend and incentivize the remarkable contributions of individuals tirelessly dedicated to the welfare of the nation and its people, the Foundation instituted four prestigious awards. Furthermore, the Foundation displays a commitment to rural development, particularly in the Wardha district. It generously supports programmes facilitating economic progress, healthcare, sanitation, education for all ages, women and child welfare, and sustainable utilization of natural resources. Notably, it extends financial aid to widows and children of farmers in the Vidarbha district who have faced adversity, thereby underscoring its humanitarian ethos.

  • Community Development Programme

    It includes The Jamnalal Bajaj Sewa Trust, initiated by Shri Kamalnayan Bajaj following Jamnalalji's passing, initially supported Sarvodaya workers and Gandhian initiatives. the trust expanded, creating the International Sarvodaya Centre (ISC) - Vishwaneedam in Bengaluru. Project Hamaara Sapna, led by Ms. Minal Bajaj, empowers marginalized women, especially in Mumbai's slums, through education and entrepreneurship. Launched in 2012, it offers training in life skills, sewing, design, and market trends, also promoting Khadi and benefiting rural women in Wardha. The Jankidevi Bajaj Gram Vikas Sanstha (JBGVS), founded in 1987, bridges the urban-rural gap in over 100 villages across Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Their integrated rural development programs cover economic, educational, health, social, and environmental aspects, aligning with UN Millennium Development Goals. Periodic surveys measure development progress.

  • Healthcare & Education Programmes

    Established in 1989, Kamalnayan Bajaj Hospital, managed by the Bajaj Group's MMRI, offers top-tier super-specialty medical care in Marathwada, Maharashtra. It has 250 beds and provides subsidized or free healthcare for the economically disadvantaged. SRCC, founded in 1947, focuses on disabled children's well-being, and now includes SRCC Children's Hospital. Balwadi and Bal Sanskar Kendra, overseen by Jamnalal Bajaj Sewa Trust, offer pre-primary education and holistic development for underprivileged children. Gandhi Gyan Mandir in Wardha, founded in 1950, serves as a Gandhian literature library, while the Gita Pratishthan promotes Bhagavad Gita teachings through student competitions and teacher training.

    District

    This program comprises several initiatives. The Kamalnayan Bajaj Hall and Art Gallery in South Mumbai pays tribute to Shri Kamalnayan Bajaj, promoting art, culture, and handicrafts. It provides a platform for NGOs, budding artists, and hosts events.

    The Dr Bhau Daji Lad Museum, restored through a partnership with UNESCO recognition, engages in exhibitions, publications, and workshops, collaborating with the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

    The Olympic Gold Quest (OGQ), led by Geet Sethi and Prakash Padukone, and supported by Niraj Bajaj, empowers Indian athletes for global Olympic success.

  • Peace & Spiritual Programmes

    District

    This encompasses various temple constructions. The Laxminarayan Mandir, founded in 1905 under Seth Bachchrajji's guidance, holds historical significance as the first Indian temple to welcome dalits (untouchables). In 1928, inspired by Mahatma Gandhi and initiated by Jamnalalji, Acharya Vinoba Bhave led dalits into the temple. The temple's uniqueness lies in its khadi-clad idols, contrasting with opulent adornments in other temples.

    The Gitai Mandir, erected by Shri Kamalnayan Bajaj, pays tribute to Acharya Vinoba Bhave's Marathi translation of the Bhagavad Gita. Inaugurated in 1964, this open-air temple features inscribed granite slabs covering all 18 chapters of the Gita.

    The Fujii Guruji Memorial Trust, established in 1988, constructed the Vishwa Shanti Stupa in Wardha, dedicated to world peace and Gandhiji's memory.
