Its mission was to alleviate some of these struggles, supported by both younger enthusiasts and compassionate elders. TOUCH is committed to the holistic development of orphaned or disadvantaged children, emphasizing education as a means to empower them and break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy, and poor health.   • TOUCH Bridge School Programme

    District

    In 2014, TOUCH initiated the Bridge School project, a School Readiness Programme designed for street children unable to access formal education. Using a well-equipped bus, it reaches locations where these children reside, currently supporting 125+ individuals from families without proper shelter or livelihood. Through engaging activities, modern audio-visual tools, and nutritional support, The children are educated by the staff and volunteers of TOUCH, who create a stimulating and interactive learning environment. This ensures that the children can fully understand and engage with the material. Additionally, regular health check-ups contribute to providing preventive healthcare interventions.

  • TOUCH Balgram Programme

    TOUCH Balgram, an extension of the Bridge School initiative, addresses the gap in formal education for underprivileged street children. Located in Vihigaon, Maharashtra, it offers a safe and nurturing environment for motivated children eager to pursue formal education. Providing necessities like food, lodging, health check-ups, and extracurricular activities, Balgram ensures a homely atmosphere. Qualified teachers and housemothers oversee the children, who also attend local formal schools, fostering an inclusive educational experience.

  • TOUCH Textbook Bank Programme

    TOUCH operates a network of textbook banks across four locations – Vihigaon, Mumbai, Gondhia, and Chiplun – facilitating access to higher education materials for rural students lacking adequate resources. These textbook banks store and distribute study materials for university-level education in India, providing invaluable support to students pursuing higher studies in rural areas.

  • Midas Touch: Child Sponsorship Programme

    The Midas Touch educational child sponsorship programme operates on a three-guardian per child model, supporting children from financially challenged backgrounds, including those from BPL, dysfunctional, or single-parent families. TOUCH facilitates a seamless educational journey by coordinating between the child's guardian and funding partners, ensuring uninterrupted education. For underprivileged children, accessing educational resources becomes a challenge due to financial constraints within their families. However, sponsorship not only aids their education but also fosters increased familial support, enabling these children to pursue and complete their education.

  • TOUCH Asha Sadan Programme

    TOUCH established Asha Sadan to provide a nurturing home for orphaned individuals above 18 years old, who often face uncertainty once they outgrow orphanages. Acting as parental figures, TOUCH mentors these youngsters, with nine currently pursuing higher education. Residential shelter plays a pivotal role, offering a supportive environment where students can live, study, and enhance their knowledge, empowering them to become self-reliant and lead fulfilling lives. With space for 15 students, Asha Sadan serves as a platform where TOUCH not only supports individuals in completing their education but also encourages and aids them in pursuing higher studies.
