Indiluv came into existence to address the conflicts caused between wildlife and communities living in the fringe forest areas. It aims to reduce Read morethis conflict through eco-friendly methods to ensure safety of both wildlife and humans. It is encouraging bee-keeping in the fringe settlements to give rise to income to the families besides initiating recycling practices whereby materials considered waste could be given a new lease of life for e.g. the use of tea waste to produce activated charcoal which commands a good market. To reduce the incidences of elephants coming into direct contact with humans the organisation has come up with an innovative idea of creating a natural fence of bee-keeping infrastructure. The animals due to the presence of bees would avoid coming into the naturally fenced area and keep away from human settlements. It maintains an online website where products like natural honey and activated charcoal are sold to generate income for the fringe area communities.
