Established in 2000 by a group of women with a focus on women's empowerment, Meera has gained valuable experience in successfully implementing project Read mores over the years, with support from both national and international organizations. Their strength lies in strategic partnerships with institutions, the government, and the private sector, prioritizing gender equity. Meera’s mission and vision centre around elevating people's knowledge levels for sustainable lives and empowering individuals throughout India to lead longer, healthier lives. To achieve these goals, it designs educational programs and provides essential resources in underprivileged areas. Meera Foundation, comprised of dedicated women social activists, aims to disseminate knowledge among underserved populations for sustainable social and economic development. Established in 2000 by five women with significant experience in social work, the foundation focuses on improving gender equity, women and child health, education, youth skills, disease control, and environmental initiatives. Over the past two decades, Meera has successfully completed projects with tangible outcomes. Meera is associated with leading organizations such as Women Deliver (USA), Nourish International (USA), MIVA (Netherlands), GIZ (Germany), and The UNION (India). Meera has over 22 years of dedicated service in the social sector and has collaborated with 18 funded partners from national and international domains, and reached a population of 4.5 million across three districts.

  • Childcare

    Offering childcare facilities for children up to 5 years old, ensuring access to safe drinking water and nutritious food for up to 18 children. Additionally, providing essential items such as shoes, school bags, raincoats, umbrellas, blankets, and winter jackets to 24 children under 15 years old. Furthermore, assisting 14 families by replacing damaged roof huts with new tin sheets for improved shelter.
