The Art & Photography Foundation, a non-profit organization established in Bengaluru in 2011, focuses on promoting Indian art and heritage awareness, Read moreeducation, and conservation.     MAP, the Museum of Art & Photography in Bengaluru, is a five-storey cultural centre featuring art galleries, an auditorium, a research library, an education centre, and a specialized facility. Its inclusive design caters to visitors with special needs, while the facade's unique steel panels symbolize the preservation of art. Strategically located near major metro stations and landmarks, MAP embraces the community with diverse educational programmes, preserving Indian art and heritage under the guidance of the MAP Architectural Committee. It stands as an iconic architecture dedicated to promoting art and photography for all.

  • Collection of Art Services

    The Art & Photography Foundation manages an extensive collection of art, photography, textiles, and design from the subcontinent, gifted by Abhishek and Radhika Poddar. It is divided into six departments: Pre-Modern Art, Textiles, Craft & Design, Living Traditions, Popular Culture, and Modern & Contemporary Art. The Pre-Modern Art section includes miniature paintings, Chola bronzes, and more. Modern & Contemporary Art features artists like M.F. Husain and Jitish Kallat. Popular Culture showcases woodcut prints, Kalighat paintings, and Bollywood paraphernalia. Living Traditions displays regional artistic practices, and Textiles, Craft & Design includes textile traditions and decorative arts. The Photography section spans works from the 19th century to contemporary times.
