Anandam Trust was established with the purpose of providing financial and physical support to impoverished elderly individuals who are deserving of as Read moresistance. In 2003, Anandam initiated a small-scale endeavour called "Anandam, a Free Home for Senior Citizens," with only three elderly residents. Through dedicated management efforts and the generosity of well-wishers, this project has flourished into a remarkable model home, spanning an expansive 24,000 square feet within a 15-acre campus. It has broadened its scope to encompass various other services such as free educational support for underprivileged and deserving students, high-quality medical care for individuals from disadvantaged backgrounds, and free special education for children grappling with learning disabilities. Its compassionate, attentive, and principled approach is evident in all aspects of its services, be it the elderly care facility, educational assistance, or medical support. Anandam fosters a sense of family among its beneficiaries, and its commitment to values is evident in the care, facilities, and camaraderie observed among those associated with the organisation. Additionally, the Trust promotes the talents of the elderly by conducting regular music, yoga, tailoring, and dance classes.

  • Free Home for Senior Citizens

    District

    Established in 2003, Anandam - A Free Home for Senior Citizens initially provided shelter to three deserving elders without children or income, in a rented house. Through the support of donors and well-wishers, Anandam expanded to its own premises - a spacious 24,000 sqft. complex on 15 grounds of land. The model home now accommodates 105 elders, equipped with modern facilities like dormitories, a kitchen with automated machines, a dining area, a prayer hall, a physiotherapy room, an entertainment room, a library, and a medical ward staffed by doctors, nurses, and attendants.

  • Educational Assistance Programme

    District

    In 2010, an evening tuition centre was initiated at the premises, catering to 7 students for free after-school coaching. Presently, the centre has grown significantly, accommodating 270 students from grades 3-12. With the assistance of dedicated teachers, the students receive high-quality education in well-equipped smart classrooms. The centre collaborates with Government/municipal school teachers to identify deserving students, and through its tutoring, students have demonstrated remarkable academic progress. Furthermore, the centre prepares students for competitive exams like NEET and supports 30-40 students annually in securing college admissions and financial aid. The centre provides essential items such as Diwali dresses, uniforms, and school kits to the students.

  • Medical Care Centre

    District

    Established in 2015, Anandam Medical Care Centre (AMCC) aims to provide accessible healthcare to low-income individuals in the neighbourhood. Serving a population of approximately 150,000 from 20 surrounding villages, AMCC offers free medical consultation, medicines, and basic lab facilities. On a daily basis, an average of 60-80 impoverished patients benefit from the centre, which provides general and specialized care, including dental, eye, physiotherapy, and alternative therapies. Additionally, AMCC conducts free medical camps in nearby villages without medical facilities. To address hospitalization needs, AMCC has established partnerships with reputable Chennai hospitals, offering specialized treatment at discounted rates for both Anandam Home residents and AMCC patients.

  • Learning Centre

    District

    Established in 2018 as the 10th satellite branch of V-Excel Charitable Trust, the Anandam Learning Centre (ALC) focuses on providing specialized education to children facing learning difficulties like autism, dyslexia, slow learning disability, and low IQ. Currently, ALC accommodates 47 students identified from the Anandam Tuition Centre. Working under V-Excel's technical guidance, ALC offers physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and activities to enhance fine and gross motor skills. Additionally, the centre provides remedial classes and empowers families with counselling and guidance to support their children effectively. The faculty comprises seven trained teachers and two former resident teachers who expressed a keen interest in contributing to this special initiative.
