  • Sharecut Programme

ShareCut is an initiative by AarogyaSeva that encourages individuals to donate their hair for creating wigs for cancer patients experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy. The ongoing hair donation drive in Bangalore invites volunteers to participate by following three simple steps: volunteering to donate hair, registering for further campaign information, getting a haircut at any salon of their choice, and couriering the hair to the organisation. In return, participants receive a ShareCut appreciation certificate. The campaign aims to provide free wigs to low-income communities, as commercially available wigs are often expensive and unaffordable. By donating hair, individuals contribute to boosting the confidence, self-esteem, and body image of cancer patients, bringing hope and joy to their lives. Additionally, those with short hair can still support the campaign by purchasing a ShareCut t-shirt, spreading the word, or sharing their ShareCut stories on social media.
