Programs

  • Eye Check Up Camp Programme

    District

    A two-day Eye Checkup Camp was organized at Hirkani School, Gawdewadi, benefiting students from Hirkani School and five neighbouring schools. The initiative aimed to promote eye health among students, offering comprehensive eye examinations to detect and address any visual impairments. By extending the camp to neighbouring schools, the outreach sought to enhance overall vision care in the local community, ensuring the well-being of students through early detection and intervention for potential eye issues.

  • Education & Literacy Programmes

    District

    The programme involves establishing Interact Clubs at various educational institutions, including Anjuman Islam Peermohammed School, Anjuman Islam Ahmed Peermohammed English Medium High School's Interact Club named ROSHNI, Bharari, a school for Deaf and Mute Children on Bhandarkar Road, Pune, where an Interact Club has been sponsored and supported by RC Pune Central since 1996. Additionally, an Interact Club was established at Jagruti School for Blind Girls, which was constructed with collaborative efforts from multiple Rotary Clubs in Pune in 1995.

  • Utensil Kit Donation Programme

    In the aftermath of flash floods in Yavatmal District, 450 families in Rameshwargaon faced significant losses as their homes were inundated. Responding to the urgent need, Rtn Mazahir, President of the Rotary Club of Pune Cantonment, initiated the donation of Utensil Kits to support the affected families. The RCPC Board Members generously contributed to provide 54 Kits, distributed on July 30, 2023. This timely assistance aimed to alleviate the hardships of the flood-affected families by providing essential utensils to help them restore normalcy.

  • Environmental Programmes

    District

    This initiative encompasses various environmental projects, starting with a Mega Tree Plantation at Ecocity, Orange County, in collaboration with RID 3131. Another Tree Plantation Drive took place at Sunrise Green Hills Kharadi, organised by Sunrise Green Hills Foundation, Rotary Club of Pune Central, and Inner Wheel Club of Pune Central. The project also involved a Valedictory Function, recognizing students participating in Coastal and River Bank Clean-ups across Pune, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh along the Mula-Mutha, Sutlej, and Beas rivers in the year 2022-23.
