The Lipok Social Foundation (LSF) has its roots in the collective experiences of its founders and partners, gained through engagement with socially an Read mored economically marginalized communities across diverse regions in the country. The organisation envisions a world where sustainability is present in all aspects of life. Adopting the principles of a solidarity economy and embracing the belief that "small is beautiful," the organisation collaborates with communities in Aurangabad, Jalna, and Pune districts of Maharashtra. LSF promotes participative learning and encourages community-led actions to address injustices. It actively endorses traditional organic agriculture, organic farming practices, and participatory guarantee systems (PGS), facilitating the marketing of organic produce. The Foundation supports micro-enterprises to alleviate poverty and farm distress while fostering sustainability. Additionally, it extends its impact through free health camps, providing basic treatment, referral services, and connecting patients with Government health schemes and additional services.

Programs

  • Free Health Camps Programme

LSF hosts free health camps, delivering essential treatment and referral services. Additionally, the initiative facilitates connections between patients and Government schemes, ensuring access to supplementary health-related services. This outreach aims to enhance healthcare accessibility for marginalized communities, addressing immediate medical needs while fostering long-term engagement with Governmental support structures for sustained well-being.

  • Covid Response Programme

The Corona crisis, marked by lockdowns and livelihood losses, has exacerbated the plight of various vulnerable groups, including peasants, migrant labourers, daily wage earners, destitute individuals, the disabled, and the elderly. In response, the Lipok team, in collaboration with Swasti Health Catalysts and Give India, distributed Oxygen Concentrators to rural hospitals, aiding poor patients in need. Urgent requirements for ill-equipped rural healthcare facilities remain a pressing need in the ongoing crisis.

  • Water Resources Conservation Programme

Prioritizing water as a crucial element, LSF collaborates with communities to address this issue. The Foundation actively engages in facilitating the development and execution of village water resource conservation and management plans. Through these initiatives, LSF aims to ensure sustainable water usage, conservation, and effective management within villages. By actively involving and empowering communities, LSF strives to enhance water security, promoting responsible and equitable utilization of this vital resource.
