B. Esudass was driven by a strong desire to assist the underprivileged, leading him to establish a service organization known as EARAM EDUCATION AND R Read moreURAL DEVELOPMENT SOCIETY on November 27, 2009. The name "EARAM" derives from the Tamil word for moisture, symbolizing the positive and nurturing essence embodied by the society. In the eyes of EARAM, there lies a compassionate inclination towards helping others, much like moisture aids seed germination in the soil. B. Esudass, hailing from Thuthipet village, Puducherry, and growing up in impoverished conditions, decided to address the plight of the less fortunate. Raised in a family where his parents worked as agricultural labourers, he faced financial challenges during his early education at the Government primary school in Thuthipet. Despite struggling with poverty, he persevered, often relying on school-provided midday meals and even attending barefoot due to a lack of funds for footwear. Generous individuals supported him with necessities and clothing during festivals, inspiring him to dedicate his future to helping others. As the President of the society, B. Esudass, along with like-minded individuals, initiated various altruistic activities such as blood donation, providing medicinal aid, offering evening tuitions for rural children, and promoting sports activities. These efforts led to the formation of a cohesive group dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of the less privileged. The society's primary goal, as articulated by its founder, is to promote and safeguard the education and sanitation of tribal and gypsy communities, combatting hunger among the impoverished, and empowering women. Vision: In their pursuit of making a significant impact on the lives of the less privileged individuals in the community, the organization envisions addressing their fundamental needs through essential services. Additionally, the focus is on empowering these individuals by providing educational opportunities and skill-building programs, with the ultimate aim of fostering self-sufficiency and breaking the cycle of poverty. Mission: The organization has identified a segment of the population facing profound helplessness and poverty. Recognizing that a timely helping hand can illuminate their path towards a brighter future, the mission is to extend support to these individuals. By assisting them at crucial junctures, the organization believes these individuals, often considered outliers, can not only envision a better life but also triumph over adversities. The mission has commenced modestly, targeting those in need with the goal of providing timely succour and laying the foundation for a meaningful life.
