Sahara is a social development organization working for children with special health needs in rural areas of Telangana state. Children with special he Read morealth needs are children with developmental disorders, disabilities like developmental delay, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, autism, speech and language disorders and specific learning disorders. Sahara provides rehabilitation therapies such as exercise therapy, speech therapy, motor development therapy, sensory integration and psychological therapies at local, accessible centres. Sahara also provides transportation as timely available public transportation is a concern. Sahara has 12 primary rehabilitation centres (PRC) and also provides training to mothers and facilitates the schemes and insurance for health coverage for the social, economic well-being of families with children with special health needs.
