Anubhuti through its various projects is determined to reduce incidences of gender inequality, by providing equal access to opportunities through impr Read moreoving quality of education as well as creating social entrepreneurs who not only help in earning livelihood but also help to create a stronger, empowered community. The motivation to engage with these communities sprang from a realisation that despite the country’s growth rate and rising GDP, there were rural communities just outside Pune where even basic socio-economic indicators were abysmally low. Subsistence farming, poor access to education and healthcare, low participation in local governance, gender and caste-related obstacles to personal growth – this was the scenario that confronted Anubhuti Social Empowerment and Educational Foundation back then.

Programs

  • Samanway

    District

The Samanway project endeavours to establish beneficial connections for small-scale farmers. Traditionally, farm produce is vulnerable to price fluctuations, elevated transportation expenses, and perishability, resulting in minimal farm income. To address these challenges, Samanway focuses on gathering locally sourced produce from small farmers and initiating processing measures to enhance their agricultural output.
A state-of-the-art Food Processing Unit has been established to handle locally sourced items such as lemons, chilies, tamarind, and tomatoes, processing them for the market. Through product identification, standardization, and effective marketing strategies, these products have gained traction in a fiercely competitive market. This initiative has not only provided employment opportunities for local youth but has also ensured fair remuneration for farmers' produce.

  • Kruti

Often burdened with both household duties and farm responsibilities, these women have few avenues for earning an income.
