Due to migration from villages and towns, there is an increasing number of homeless people living in cities. These people and families face starvation, disease, threats, abuse, and a lack of respect and dignity. Inadequate infrastructure for water and sanitation, improper billing practices, water waste, and inadequate water use resources. Ensuring sufficient water and sanitation infrastructure is ensured by collecting arrears and optimising the billing cycle. Reduced water use and appropriate water use amongst various stakeholders, including schools, colleges, and slum populations, are important in sensitised slum communities.
