The Sharan Foundation was established to honour the legacy of Sardar Sharanjit Singh, who dedicated his life to serving society. Like-minded individua Read morels formed the foundation, inspired by his selflessness and commitment to improving lives. It initially focused on health projects to provide healthcare access to those in need. The Foundation's dedication to expanding its initiatives demonstrates its commitment to making a positive impact on society. Its vision is for a more humane, just, inclusive, and eco-friendly India, and its mission is to collaborate and create a supportive environment to address the needs of every Indian, promoting equity, social justice, environmental restoration, health, education, and empowerment in partnership with the Government and other organisations.

With a team of over 60 dedicated volunteers, the Sharan Foundation has successfully completed 15 projects, positively impacting the lives of more than 11,900 individuals, all made possible through the generous support of 4 donors.

  • Healthcare Programmes

    The Sharan Foundation is actively enhancing healthcare access and overall well-being through a range of initiatives. These include Guru Nanak Modikhana, which makes affordable medicines available at wholesale prices, thereby reducing financial exploitation. Health Camps are organised to provide medical services and health education in underprivileged areas, ultimately improving healthcare access. Project Netra Parkash focuses on delivering free eye care services, including cataract surgeries, which greatly benefit underprivileged communities. The Sharan Medical Relief Fund plays a vital role by offering financial assistance for medical treatment to individuals in need. Additionally, Blood Donation Camps are conducted to promote blood donation, thereby increasing the availability of blood for those who require it. These multifaceted efforts contribute to the Foundation's mission of making a positive impact on healthcare and well-being in India.

    The Sharan Foundation is actively engaged in various educational programmes that aim to uplift underserved communities. One of its initiatives, the Sharan Education Assistance Scheme, offers scholarships to underprivileged students, granting them access to education with financial aid of up to Rs. 20,000 per student. Furthermore, it provides Special Evening Classes for Students, offering extra instruction in multiple subjects, test preparation, and affordable educational support. To broaden access to knowledge, the Foundation is dedicated to establishing Community Libraries, which serve as accessible hubs of information with books, e-books, internet access, and trained librarians, empowering underserved communities by enhancing their access to educational resources.
