The Cancer Aid & Research Foundation (CARF) is dedicated to advancing the well-being of disadvantaged cancer patients, regardless of their religious o Read morer caste backgrounds. CARF has supported impoverished and marginalized cancer patients throughout India for more than ten years, gaining the confidence of countless families in need. CARF's primary goal is to relieve the suffering of as many impoverished cancer patients as possible, ensuring they are not overwhelmed by the financial burdens of treatment. In addition to providing medical and financial assistance, CARF actively participates in community initiatives, such as educating young people about the dangers of tobacco use and promoting awareness of early cancer detection through talks and film screenings. CARF envisions a world where cancer survivors can live without fear, actively involving them in recovery-focused events. The organisation's objectives include providing aid to cancer patients, raising awareness of the root causes of cancer, and promoting early detection for better treatment outcomes, all with the ultimate aim of creating a world free from the scourge of cancer.

Programs

  • CARF Rehabilitation Center (CRC)

    District

Rehabilitation serves the crucial purpose of restoring an individual's functional life, enabling them to contribute to society. For cancer survivors undergoing lengthy treatments, employment becomes essential, alleviating mental and financial burdens. The establishment of the CARF Rehabilitation Centre (CRC) in 2013 reflects this commitment. CRC conducts training sessions for cancer patients, teaching skills such as crafting items and making paper bags and candles. By organizing charity sales of their creations, funds are generated to support underprivileged cancer patients. Plans include continuous support through welfare programmes for these families, ensuring they lead regular and dignified lives.

  • Counselling Programme

    District

Cancer elicits a range of emotional responses in individuals, from fear and anxiety to anger and a sense of loss of control. The impact extends beyond the patient, affecting family relationships and roles within the household. Discussing these emotions with someone outside of immediate circles can provide valuable perspectives. Counselling plays a crucial role in offering support and clarity, helping individuals navigate their feelings and experiences. Highly professional counsellors, adept at dealing with cancer-afflicted individuals, assist at conscious and emotional levels, fostering positive changes through trust-based relationships.
