These artisanal products encompass handloom textiles, handicrafts, and indigenous paintings, complemented by vibrant cultural initiatives. It offers skill development programmes, including training in handloom and handicraft techniques, empowering rural individuals. The society also plays a pivotal role in advancing computer education among rural students, enabling them to compete in contemporary industries. Its commitment to child development materialized in the establishment of "JATIYA VIDYALAYA CHARAIBAHI," a modern school with a strong emphasis on teaching in the student's native language. In addition, APCOM actively promotes Assam's rich heritage, traditional arts and crafts, and tourist destinations through diverse mediums such as wall paintings and exhibitions, exemplified by the 2014-15 Assam Art Fair.

  • Computer Education Programme

    State

    Established in 2001, Apcom Computer Education operates as a vital arm of the Apcom Educational and Cultural Development Society. It has been dedicated to imparting computer education to the youth of the state, alongside providing valuable job placement support to those who seek it. The institution's course offerings encompass durations of three months, six months, and one year, all designed to accommodate the needs of students while maintaining an impressively affordable fee structure.

  • Education Programmes

    State

    Jatiya Vidyalaya Charaibahi, established in 2006 and under the management of the Apcom Educational and Cultural Development Society, extends school education to economically disadvantaged students. It operates as a co-educational institution with an attached pre-primary section, employing Assamese as the medium of instruction. The school boasts 14 concrete classrooms, six non-concrete ones, and three additional rooms for various activities. It's well-equipped, featuring a library with 500 books, functional computer labs, and a computer-aided learning facility. The school, accessible year-round, serves as an academic haven for students, including those from BPL backgrounds, achieving a 100% pass rate in Class X exams over the last three years.

  • Women Empowerment Programme

    The Apcom Educational and Cultural Development Society has been dedicated to uplifting women and children from its inception. Recognizing that economic advancement is pivotal for those in need, the focus has consistently been on empowering women and children. Rural individuals were encouraged to participate in various skill development programmes, enabling them to generate income for their families and attain self-sufficiency. These programmes encompassed Food Processing, Toy Making, Jute Craft, Housekeeping, Knitting, Weaving, and more. Notably, the Society bridged the gap for skilled but market-disconnected women by promoting their handloom and handicraft products through an online platform, thereby bolstering family incomes.

  • Skill Development Programme

    The Apcom Educational and Cultural Development Society is dedicated to providing diverse skill development training opportunities to underprivileged youth, with a particular focus on empowering girls and women in rural communities. These training programmes, some in collaboration with external organisations and others funded internally, aim to foster self-sufficiency. The training covers various areas, including computer education, food processing, housekeeping, knitting, tailoring, weaving, AC and refrigerator repair, and mobile phone repair. By imparting these skills, the Society contributes to enhancing self-employment prospects and self-reliance among the beneficiaries.
