Sankalp Ek Prayas

Sankalp Ek Prayas operates the "Support School" initiative, which involves employing full-time teachers to enhance the educational outcomes in rural Government schools where teacher availability is limited. Sankalp takes responsibility for the expenses associated with hiring and engaging these teachers. Throughout its engagement, the organisation closely monitors the students' performance and progress. This intervention has led to substantial improvements in the annual Board examination results for schools where this approach has been implemented.

Sankalp Ek Prayas operates a key initiative called the "Supplementary or Complementary Education Programme," providing free education to economically disadvantaged children in rural areas. This programme focuses on underprivileged students and offers after-school support through centres, addressing the educational needs of children from labourer, farmer, and domestic worker families. The programme aims to uplift students' academic performance and enhance their skills in Science, Math, and English. Through consistent efforts, Sankalp has achieved a remarkable 26% improvement in students' academic levels within these regions. Regular testing and progress monitoring are integral parts of the programme's approach.

Sankalp Ek Prayas initiated the "UDDAN" computer training programme, benefiting 490 children thus far. The project entails a Certified Computer Training Module, targeting students from Class IV to IX. It aims to equip underprivileged children with essential computer literacy skills appropriate for their age group.

Sankalp Ek Prayas runs the "SAKSHAM" project, delivering Training Programmes for women in rural areas. This initiative provides education in Basic English, Mathematics, and Science to graduates and undergraduates from rural villages. The program includes pre-tests and post-tests for each subject, employing scientifically validated test papers to gauge participants' progress. The measured scores demonstrate notable improvements in their skill levels.

Sankalp Ek Prayas operates the "e MERGE" project, with the goal of enhancing children's academic standards through integrated e-learning techniques. The programme involves showcasing online resources to children and assessing their progress via pre-test and post-test evaluations. A notable shift in responses among randomly selected children before and after the intervention underscores the effectiveness of this approach in covered subject areas. Sankalp's volunteers are actively developing a curriculum to ensure measurable progress through this impactful project.
