Charities Aid Foundation (CAF) India was established in 1998 to promote and support strategic giving for a more fair and sustainable society in India. Read more It is a part of the global network of CAF organisations that operate in 11 countries and distribute funds to over 90 countries worldwide. CAF India provides tactical and management support to individuals, corporates and NGOs to guarantee a bigger impact on their humanitarian and CSR efforts. It offers multiple giving solutions such as corporate giving, payroll Giving and Individual giving while focusing on supporting underserved societies and positively impacting their socio-economic conditions by providing expertise and resources to help partners and donors identify the right NGO to support. The organisation’s expertise lies in verifying the viability of non-government organisations across India and has gained the trust of many individual donors, national and transnational companies, Foundations, and institutions. CAF India's vigorous and fair authentication process helps establish faith among NGOs and enables greater engagement with corporations.

Impact

CAF India is present in 23 states in India with more than 300 corporate partners, has validated more than 2100 NGOs, motivated more than 2 lakh individual donors and raised 250+ crore in funds.

Programs

  • Education Programme

    CAF India partners with NGOs and schools to improve education quality and access through corporate volunteering and strategic networks. It showcases good practices and research work, provides knowledge services, and collaborates with leading Indian companies to improve the lives of needy people and encourage corporate social responsibility.

  • Health Programme

    The organisation focuses on addressing water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) issues through joint projects that involve the private sector, individuals, institutions, and UN agencies. It facilitates the delivery of services for both urban and rural communities, builds their capacities, and implements successful WASH projects as part of their Public-Private community initiative.

  • Disaster Support Programme

    It supports helpless communities during disasters by planning and handling relief and rehabilitation activities, piloting surveys and impact assessments, and providing disaster management education and livelihood training programmes. It also helps multi-stakeholder engagement, strengthens NGOs, and arranges for policy dialogues to tackle key developmental gaps. It runs a Disaster Relief Fund that provides support to affected communities.

  • Skill Building Programmes

    It partners with NGOs to provide skill-building initiatives to needy people to improve their livelihoods and create income. Its actions develop an ability for income generation, encourage rural businesses, opens up economic access and improve women's and youths’ livelihoods. CAF India also observes and gauges the success of its projects, with a focus on recipients such as poor children, youth with disabilities, and those affected by drugs.
