It also works towards treatment of communicable diseases such as HIV and TB with its focus on prevention, management, diagnostics and dealing with the accompanying stigma. Further, the institute also provides treatments for non-communicable diseases like diabetes, cardiovascular diseases and cancer. The organisation strives to strengthen health systems and conducts policy based advocacy in close partnership with the government and public health systems, civil societies, academic institutions, corporate sector and community at large. Additionally, it conducts research and impact analysis to influence policy advocacy.
