  • Tree Plantation Programme

    Environment Matters NGO actively engages in Tree Plantation CSR projects across India. It recently partnered with Oceaneering International Services Ltd., involving around 100 participants. The organisation documents these events, providing a visual record of the collective efforts.

    Nanak Bagichi, also known as the Miyawaki forest or Miyawaki plantation, offers an effective urban afforestation approach. Rooted in the belief that our connection with nature should be as strong as our bonds with family, Nanak Bagichi addresses urban environmental challenges. Named after Prof. Akira Miyawaki, a Japanese botanist, this method involves planting saplings close together, encouraging rapid growth and creating densely packed forests. It's been successfully implemented in Indian states like Punjab, Delhi, and Kerala, promoting quick afforestation without the need for ongoing maintenance. Nanak Bagichi also plays a vital role in reducing pollution and countering Urban Heat Island effects in cities, with a focus on sustainability and eco-friendliness. Environment Matters NGO is enthusiastic about green initiatives, especially tree plantation drives.
