AIM is an organization, dedicated to transforming society by creating awareness, imparting knowledge, and inducting practical skills, specifically on Read morewater protection and environmental betterment.The motto of AIM is to reach out to common people and create awareness and training, particularly on water and environmental conservation, which are indispensable for us to lead a happy and healthy life. AIM NGO has been actively collaborating with TWAD Board since 2006 to promote and implement various central government schemes related to drinking water in Tamilnadu, particularly in Coimbatore and Nilgiris Districts. It has conducted extensive training sessions for school teachers, PTA members, and students on health, hygiene practices, and water quality monitoring. These training programs also covered the usage and maintenance of water purification instruments installed in government schools. Moreover, AIM NGO provided training to Village Water and Sanitation Committee (VWSC) members, sanitary inspectors, village nurses, and Anganwadi workers on routine water quality checks and preventive measures to ensure water safety. The organization also trained grassroots workers, such as pump operators and electricians, on operating and maintaining piped water supply schemes, emphasizing water conservation and sustainability. It has imparted VWSC members in Coimbatore District with the skills of planning, monitoring, and managing Panchayat Water Supply Schemes. Furthermore, AIM NGO educated grassroots workers and female Self Help Group (SHG) members on water quality monitoring, health, hygiene practices, and safe water handling. To raise awareness and community participation in water management and sanitation, Gramasabhas were organized in multiple panchayats across the district. Additionally, AIM actively observed important global events like World Water Day, World Hand Washing Day, and World Toilet Day through awareness rallies and programs in rural areas with the participation of various stakeholders.
