Rostrum India Read more Social Organization is an initiative by the youth from all sections of our society. Hence, it was envisioned as a common platform for the youth to come forward and join hands, in reforming and rebuilding our society. We strive to mobilize them in order to make them understand their responsibilities towards the society and inspire them to take up social work, which will lead to a better tomorrow.The main objective of the organization are to provide basic education to under privileged section of the society.Team RISO works on different projects dedicated to Education, Healthcare, Environment and Women Empowerment sectors.

  • Project Aadhar

    District

    The foundation of a united community lies in dismantling initial barriers and nurturing trust. Project ADHAAR, initiated by RISO, seeks to bring people together through donation drives, motivating contributions, and engaging donors in activities such as sorting and distributing items to those in need. This endeavour strives to cultivate unity and goodwill among community members, reinforcing the ties that bolster flourishing communities.

  • Project Educare

    District

    Aligned with the UN's Sustainable Development Goal 4, focusing on Quality Education, RISO is committed to offering elementary education to migrant children. A significant proportion of primary education dropouts belong to the migrant labourer category. Project Educare endeavours to introduce these children to the school experience, akin to what privileged kids enjoy. Through informal units, basic education is provided to these youngsters, with a simultaneous emphasis on reducing dropout rates, enhancing teacher capacity, raising parental awareness, and providing adolescent and career counselling, all aimed at fostering a brighter educational future for these underserved children.

  • Project Green Hat

    District

    Project Green Hat, a distinctive initiative led by team RISO, is dedicated to environmental preservation and actively involves primary school students in the Maharashtra state. The primary objective of this initiative is to plant an impressive 500,000 trees across Maharashtra. By engaging young minds in tree planting activities, Project Green Hat not only contributes to the state's green cover but also instills a sense of environmental responsibility in the next generation. This concerted effort underscores RISO's commitment to fostering a greener and more sustainable future for Maharashtra and its communities.

  • RISO Library Programme

    District

    It is confident about its initiative to enhance knowledge in socially and financially disadvantaged regions through the RISO LIBRARY. This library caters to citizens aged five to sixty and is entirely free. It promotes reading, language preservation, and a love for learning. It offers various activities like competitions, book discussions, and cultural programmes. Besides lending books, it serves as a study centre and motivator for youth preparing for competitive exams. RISO plans to establish these libraries across Pune's four talukas, benefiting thousands of readers, with future expansion to 350 rural areas across Maharashtra, reaching around 350,000 readers.

  • Project Nirmitee

    In the global pursuit of women's empowerment, Project Nirmitee addresses social challenges faced by women. It fosters connections through Self-Help Groups (SHGs), enabling women aged 16 and above to discuss their concerns collectively. Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal 5, Gender Equality, the project strives to educate individuals on equal access to opportunities and resources, irrespective of gender, encompassing decision-making and economic participation. It also addresses issues such as violence against women, financial literacy, fostering independence through income generation, imparting knowledge of rights, and providing essential guidance.

  • Dnyansankul Programme

    District

    RISO has established shelters to address societal neglect faced by various marginalized groups, including the elderly, orphans, individuals with HIV, and those with physical or visual impairments. These shelters provide a supportive community where residents can lead independent and comfortable lives. A primary focus is on creating a stress-free environment, particularly for children affected by farmer suicides, offering counselling to help them overcome trauma and regain their focus on education and future prospects.
