The T. B. Lulla Charitable Foundation, led by Adv. Kishor Lulla is driven by a mission to extend its efforts beyond the realms of taxation and land de Read morevelopment, focusing on social and charitable initiatives. This shift came about after the passing of Shri. Totaram Bhojraj Lulla, who overcame personal struggles as a survivor of partition and carved out a successful career in taxation. Adv. Kishor Lulla, recognizing the need to contribute to society, redirected his efforts towards supporting genuine non-governmental organisations (NGOs) through financial assistance and imparting knowledge on effective organisation management. This visionary approach aims to create a collective of NGOs to influence positive change in society, and since 2014, the Foundation has channelled its efforts into enhancing primary and secondary education, particularly in Government schools, with an emphasis on teacher training and creating a joyful and practical learning experience for students.

Programs

  • Health Care Programmes

    The T. B. Lulla Charitable Foundation has established a strong presence in the field of healthcare initiatives. Notably, it has contributed significantly to enhancing medical facilities and services. It initiated the "Mobile Hospital" programme, providing free OPD services in remote villages. Collaborating with the Buldana Urban Co-operative Credit Society, it introduced the innovative "Swargaratha" motor van for the dignified transportation of deceased individuals. Additionally, the Foundation's partnership with various Rotary Global Grants has facilitated vital healthcare projects, including equipping medical facilities, enhancing COVID-19 testing, and supporting neonatal care units in Sangli Civil Hospital.

  • Shiku Anande Programme

    The Foundation actively participates in the Rotary India WinS Programme, aligning with the "Swachh Bharat: Swachh Vidyalaya" campaign. The Foundation focuses on enhancing water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities in Government schools, aiming to advance education quality and promote hygiene practices. Its initiatives include upgrading sanitation facilities, providing group handwashing stations, promoting Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM), ensuring safe drinking water, and imparting education on facility maintenance. Additionally, through projects like "Aarogyashastra," it educates students about hygiene, distributes soaps, and raises awareness about menstrual health. Programmes like "Aarogya Sakhi" train girls to share menstrual cycle information, while the creation of Sanitary Napkin Disposal Containers addresses used pad disposal challenges. The Foundation's multifaceted efforts underscore its commitment to improving hygiene, education, and well-being in schools.

  • Disaster Management Programme

    District

    The Foundation engages in aiding communities during natural calamities. In response to drought, it supplied drinking water to severely affected areas in Sangli District by providing tankers to villages like Upalavi and Kumate. During a devastating flood, the Foundation collaborated with various organisations to establish a relief centre, named 'Ruturang Puragrasta Madat Kendra', which offered essential supplies such as food, clothing, toiletries, and sanitary napkins to around 2000 affected individuals daily for three weeks. Furthermore, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the Foundation and other local organisations distributed raw materials and prepared meals to those stranded due to lockdowns, receiving recognition from Government and municipal authorities for its efforts.
