Impact

Taiyari project - Has impacted the lives of 1800 individuals directly and 20000 individuals indirectly. The project has covered 30 Gram Panchayats with 15 in Srinagar block of Ajmer district and 15 in Tonk block of Tonk district.

Programs

  • Organizing haemoglobin tests and distributing IFA tablets

    The members were educated about the significance of haemoglobin and iron in the bloodstream. Additionally, the guardians of the girls within the group were reached out to and informed about the importance of haemoglobin for their daughters. Consequently, haemoglobin tests were administered for the girls, and a substantial quantity of IFA (Iron and Folic Acid) tablets were distributed to those deficient in haemoglobin. This effort was extended not only to the Taiyari members but also to those outside the Taiyari group.

  • Taiyari

    The 'Taiyari' project, serving as a demonstration model for structured transitions from adolescence to adulthood, began its implementation in May 2012 across three districts as a pilot initiative. Subsequently, it was extended for an additional two years in Ajmer and Tonk, spanning from May 2012 to August 2015.
    Objectives:
    • Enhancing the quality of life for adolescents within three districts of Rajasthan by introducing strategic plans for a deliberate transition from adolescence to adulthood.
    • To realize this objective, a specific framework with defined goals and objectives was formulated.
    The project targeted approximately 20,000 adolescents across two chosen blocks in Ajmer and Tonk districts from May 2013 to August 2015. It encompassed 30 Gram Panchayats, comprising 15 GPs in Srinagar block of Ajmer and 15 GPs in Tonk block of Tonk district. Initially, the 'Taiyari' pilot phase was executed from May 2012 to January 2013 across 50 Gram Panchayats in Jaipur, Tonk, and Ajmer.

  • Skill and entrepreneurship development institute

    District

    Skill and Entrepreneurship Development Institute (SEDI) is dedicated to fulfilling the skill-building requirements of rural women and youth, promoting their holistic development, livelihood, and improved quality of life. The institute aims to empower rural youth, enabling them to lead lives with dignity while exploring their full potential. The institute's activities are initially focused within Ajmer district. As part of the initiatives, SEDI has been included as one of the BSS projects. Currently, the institute has commenced computer education, photography classes, and sewing courses.
    Notably, the Rajasthan Knowledge Corporation Ltd. (RKCL), Government of Rajasthan, has recently sanctioned BSS as a registered TI (Training Institute) Centre. This approval allows the institute to conduct two courses: RS-CIT (Rajasthan State Certificate Course in Information Technology) and RS-CFA (Rajasthan State Certificate Course in Financial Accounting).

  • Sneh Sansar

    District

    Commencing in June 2008 and sustained until April 2013, 'Sneh Sansar,' translating to 'Loving World' in Hindi, served as a sanctuary for children orphaned by AIDS. Acting as a home away from home, this initiative, albeit with limited resources, provided essential infrastructure and basic amenities to accommodate up to 10 children at a time. Initially, priority was extended to children orphaned due to AIDS in the first batch. The establishment of 'Sneh Sansar' was made possible through the generous contributions of individual donors and the support mobilized locally by the Inner Wheel Club-Ajmer.

  • Composite Target Intervention (TI)

    District

    The project had the objective of preventing the transmission of HIV within high-risk communities, specifically focusing on sex workers and individuals identifying as homosexuals. The efforts involved counselling these communities on practicing safe sex, providing education about AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs). Additionally, it conducted sessions to raise awareness among others in these communities about the stigma associated with HIV-infected individuals. It ensured the provision of necessary medical treatment, enabling people living with HIV to lead a life of dignity. Funding for this project was secured through the Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society (RSACS).

  • Bal Sansar Public School (BSPS), Ajmer

    Bal Sansar Public School (BSPS) is committed to achieving the following objectives:
    • Delivering high-quality pre and primary education to rural children within the Ajmer district, with plans for gradual expansion up to elementary and senior secondary levels.
    • Implementing a pre-school education program focused on preparing children for school, fostering the development of multiple intelligences through age-appropriate physical and life-skill activities, as well as cognitive training that enhances their sensory perception and creativity.
    • Striving to offer culturally sensitive and environmentally friendly quality education that provides comprehensive development opportunities for its students. Many of these students come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, and a significant number are the first in their families to pursue formal education.
