Ashirwad Trust for the Disabled provides rehabilitation to people with disabilities. The initiatives undertaken by the trust consist of centre-based i Read morenitiatives and community based rehabilitation (CBR). The focus areas for rehabilitation include visual and hearing impairments, autism, cerebral palsy, mental illnesses, multiple disabilities and others. The objective of the centre based activities is to help children overcome their disabilities and assist parents to understand and cope with their children’s upbringing. The trust has three centres namely, Ashirvad Aspiration Day Care Centre (Sayla), Kshamata Kendra (Limdi), Upasana Kendra (Surendranagar) The community based rehabilitation initiative involves the provision of services and rehabilitation programme within the comfort of homes for disabled people who are unable to attend the day care centres. Other initiatives by the trust include physiotherapy centres, vocational training centres, self help groups and distribution camps.
