SRYSK was formed on 31st May 2002, and Registered under the Trust act of 1950 & bearing No: E/3062/Sabarkantha. SRYSK is a non-communal, non-gover Read morenment and non-political organization that incepted and initiated a group of dedicated persons working in the field of socio-economic development of the deprived people. SRYSK is completely a development-oriented organization and irreversibly associated with community development action, internal and external resource mobilization to strengthen the hand of community initiatives. SRYSK has been able to play the role of a change agent in empowering and handholding of community in its operational area and garner outstanding response from people. Various communities have reciprocated SRYSK’s sincere efforts. The focus of operation in the initial years remained in providing the communities with suitable choices for self-development. It was a challenging task before the organization to mobilize and facilitate the community to decide themselves what is best for them without imposing any external judgment in their value system. During this period SRYSK has carved out a niche for itself in the development sector through its Long-standing commitments on some key social and human development issues coupled with good Program strategies. The thrust areas identified for interventions are natural resource management, health, hygiene, environmental sanitation, education, gender mainstreaming, women empowerment, capacity building program for all stakeholders and sustainable livelihood program concerning the deprived class of the society. The creation and development of community-based institution especially of women, youths and children was the strategic focus in these emanating years.
