Dhriiti – The Courage Within functions as an NGO to promote entrepreneurship and nurture an entrepreneurial mindset among the upcoming generations of Read moreIndians. It has a dual focus: firstly, on developing the entrepreneurial abilities of individuals, particularly young people from various socio-economic backgrounds, and secondly, on enhancing the overall ecosystem of small and micro-enterprises. The organisation seeks to unleash the latent potential within both rural and urban areas, fostering a bold, self-assured, and actively involved generation while supporting small business growth. Dhriiti envisions successful entrepreneurs continuously innovating, taking full risks, and positively contributing to their stakeholders and the wider community. It advocates for a mindful approach towards achieving a balance in financial, social, and ecological aspects, extending from individual actions to the core principles of entire enterprises.

  • Project Pragati

    In collaboration with Interglobe Foundation, Dhriiti initiated Project Pragati in 2018, envisioning a robust women-led ecosystem in the Arecanut Plate Making Business. The first phase (2018-2020) successfully incubated businesses for 30 women entrepreneurs, trained from a group of 33 women. Five specialized service providers in drying were established. Pragati 2.0, starting in March 2020, aims to expand and organize the raw material collector base while focusing on accelerating existing entrepreneurs and enhancing their financial and business planning capacities. The impact includes training 33 individuals, establishing 30 machine entrepreneurs and positively influencing 300 raw material collectors.

  • SG Seeders Fellowship

    The Seeding Grampreneur Seeders Fellowship 2020 targets young rural professionals in district economies, offering a three-month fellowship with a stipend of INR 30,000 per month. The process involves a 5-day online Training of Trainers Programme for 50 shortlisted applicants, with 10 selected seeders awarded the SG Seeders Fellowship. These fellows will mobilize, train, and support 30 women-led Self-Help Group enterprises. The initiative aims to empower Grampreneurs, fostering village-based enterprises for sustainable livelihoods and inclusive rural growth, addressing the root causes of migration by promoting employment and income generation in vulnerable areas.
