Simple Education Foundation works to create learning solutions with an aim to transform the public education space by making learning and teaching imp Read moreactful both on the inside & outside of classrooms. In 2013 it established an after-school learning centre named ‘Prayogshala’ in South Delhi which is focused on strengthening academic learning and building leadership skills among students. In January 2016, it introduced another initiative called ‘Taleem’, which is its first school transformation project in collaboration with the Directorate of School Education, Kashmir. Additionally, it is also an implementation partner to a CSR initiative called ‘Paathshala’, based in rural Uttarakhand. This project is supported by the community to transform a school in their village, into a robust learning space for their children. Its vision is to provide education to all children and create centres of excellence in the public school system by focussing on innovative teaching schemes, learning methods and progressive classroom practices.

Programs

  • Centres of Excellence

    This programme aims to strengthen Government schools and works to build the capacities of Principals, Teachers and parents. It partners with the South Delhi Municipal Corporation and the Uttarakhand Directorate of Education to enable leadership, build teachers’ capacities, organise parent and community investment, provide holistic and high-quality learning and ensure sustained excellence.

  • State Transformation

    State

    Delivers Udaan, a professional teacher development programme aimed at providing one-to-one support to Government school teachers to enable excellence in the delivery of education. The programme seeks to strengthen institutional leadership, complete development of educators, build strong classroom culture and improve teacher learning practices.

  • Pathshala Learning Centre

    Works to transform rural schools into centres of holistic learning. It is designed as a multi-level intervention working inside classrooms to strengthen students and the school, provide opportunities for engagement between the community and schools and own its complete transformation. It aims to shift the rural mindsets towards encouraging learning and at addressing the learning gaps of rural children.

  • Prayogshala

    Is the Foundation’s attempt to foster problem-solving and design-thinking abilities in children. It engages children in projects designed to bring together learning from different subjects allowing them to apply their thinking and giving them a space to explore and practically try things out.

  • Taleem

    Focuses on coaching and empowering school teachers and Principals of select Government schools partnering with the Directorate of Education, Kashmir region. It aims to direct them on a path of transformation by exposing them to modern teaching tools, cultivating instructional leadership and enabling them to own their growth and of the students under their guidance.
