Programs

  • Effective Social Persuasion (ESP) Model Programme

Since 2008, SAM has implemented an Effective Social Persuasion (ESP) model to advocate healthcare and induce behavioural change among the underprivileged. This model has benefited approximately 6.2 million people across 3200 villages, reducing maternal and neonatal deaths by 90% and 57%, respectively. It's also been applied to tuberculosis detection and population stabilization, resulting in significant improvements. Through partnerships with local health entities and Government authorities, the organisation ensures sustainability while maintaining a cost-effective approach of about 15 Rupees per village per year. Its structured seven-step ESP process drives social behaviour change communication and fosters simple, sustainable, and scalable healthcare solutions.
