Youth Football Club Rurka Kalan is a community-based grassroots organization that was founded in 2001. It uses sports and education as tools to make positive changes in society and has grown from a volunteer-led football club for disadvantaged children into a well-established organisation.

  • Playing for Peace

    Playing for Peace is a project by Common Goal and YFC Rurka Kalan, implemented by local partners in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.

    Young people are empowered to shape their communities and play a key role in creating peaceful and inclusive societies.

    MISSION
    Educate youth leaders as Peace Agents and football for good coaches, enabling
    them to tackle intolerance, social hostilities, systemic inequality and violence in their communities.

  • RED CARDS TO DRUGS

    Project Red Card to Drugs (RCTD) is designed to help 500 children (16-18 years) and youth (18-25) promote drug resistance skills and minimize the usage of drugs and alcohol in the children, youth, and adults of the Jalandhar district by developing their attitudes and abilities

    2. Providing educational and career guidance: Recognizing the significance of education and career development, the project offers essential guidance to help girls achieve their educational and professional aspirations.

    Project Nurture is a Sports for Development Initiative by YFC Rurka Kalan, with support from Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, aims to empower and enable children and young individuals in neighboring cotton-growing communities. The initiative takes a holistic approach, focusing on all-around development through Sports for Development and Sports for Excellence programs.

    Project Nurture serves as a common platform for 9 German Bundesliga clubs: Borussia Dortmund, Eintracht Frankfurt, 1. FC Union Berlin, SV Werder Bremen GmbH & Co KG aA, HSV, DSC Arminia Bielefeld, FC St. Pauli von 1910 e.V., VfB Stuttgart, VfL Wolfsburg. The clubs have joined forces to support initiatives in India through YFC Rurka Kalan. Project Nurture, the overarching vision is to propagate effective, reliable, meaningful, and enduring school sports development. This extends to the holistic growth of children and youth in the Rapar, Mandvi, Mundra, and Khadir areas of the Kachchh Dis
