The organization was established in 1980 by a group of young dedicated volunteers to check the prevailing condition at that time. At that time migra Read moretion of people to other places was prevalent as agriculture was the main occupation and there was a scarcity of water due to drought. People were illiterate and their economic condition was poor. Thus, to check the migration the organization was founded to provide alternative livelihood choices. Since its inception, the organization has been working for the betterment of the status of people

Action

In the area of Education, i) we do Learning Interventions in rural areas with children of std. 3 to 8 to support them in their learning process of low learning level & migrant children ii) Conduct baseline, midline, and end-line assessments of all program children to check and analyze their progress level. iii)In Extracurricular activities Organize Balmela/Matrix Mela/Extra-Curricular events for the children of project schools to connect the communities, children, and schools in the villages. iv) Organize training of teachers, Anganwadi workers, Helpers, etc. conduct classroom-based training for government school teachers of program villages on activity-based pedagogy, with the focus of improving their knowledge, LEP skills, and teaching competencies v) Linkages with Govt. Vi) Strengthen school governance through SMCs, PRIs, Youth and community participation, In the area of Agriculture i)We do Different Training for farmers& Labours from sowing to Harvesting For the capacity building of farmers and labours staff provide training on different aspects like Programmatic, pre-sowing, IPDM, INM etc. ii)Regular meetings with Farmers & Labours Understand farmer's challenges and guide or help them further regular meetings conducted at the ground level iii) To spread awareness in mass regarding sustainable farming we run a campaign on different topics and arrange workshops & awareness campaign for them during the year. iv) Exposure visits & Demonstrations allow participants to witness and learn from successful sustainable farming models in action. They can observe innovative techniques, conservation methods, and eco-friendly practices that can be applied in their own farming operations. v) Focus on disadvantaged group linkages with Govt. schemes vi) Promoting Water Stewardship vii) Climate resilient for Sustainable Development viii) Strengthening and scaling up existing livelihoods cluster by intensifying interventions. ix) Build a partnership with the NRLM team to leverage resources. x) Tech intervention in the livelihoods cluster for productivity enhancement and market linkage. xi) Engaging experts for new ideas and strengthening the interventions In the area of Health, we do awareness about various diseases and prevention steps and also organized health checkup camps in our intervention areas. Spread awareness about pesticides and their effects on the human body, also provided information on the use of PPE kit while using pesticides for self-protection. In the area of Disaster relief awareness activities and training of local villagers on disaster management, relief work during and after disaster.

Impact

Impact In Area of Education We succeeded to achieve regularity of children in school till 85 percent Due to our awareness regarding SMC, we can reach 60 percent of SMC member's participation in meetings and involvement in discussions from 0 to 5 percent With regular meetings with migrant people now they can get understand the importance of their children's education and stop the migration of their children After running regular learning classes we succeeded to increase the learning level of children Impact In Area of Agriculture 30000 farmers accept scientific farming methods after regular training and intervention Reduce the load of toxic pesticides Constructed more than 145 farm ponds and renovated 14 plus check dam Provide training more than 66,211 farmers and labors Increase awareness about soil testing and water testing Increase awareness regarding water stewardship among farmers Aware farmers to adopt INM, IPM & IWM Awareness regarding the use of organic farming practices helped to reduce the cost of farming Increase the ratio of use of PPE while spraying pesticides
