Programs

  • Mahima Ministries Child Care Institution (CCI)

Mahima Ministries' Child Care Institution (CCI) in Ameenpur caters to boys and girls, having started in 2005 at Mr. Maharaju's home before finding a permanent location. Over the years, it has benefited over 1000 children, with 55 boys and 30 girls currently in its care. With the introduction of regulations under the JJB Act in 2013, the CCI now operates under Government oversight, receiving children placed by the Child Welfare Committee and District Child Protection Unit. The organisation ensures comprehensive support, including counselling, food, shelter, medical care, clothing, and education, tailored to the children's needs. Additionally, Mahima Ministries offers vocational training and skills development, fostering healthy growth and development.

  • Mahima Ministries' Old Age Home

Established in 2005, Mahima Ministries' Old Age Home in Vikarabad, originally founded when Mr. Maharaju extended his home to shelter an elderly lady, has grown to provide care to a significant number of elderly individuals. With 42 men and 24 women currently under its care, the home primarily serves destitute elders, including those picked up from the streets and those from impoverished families unable to support them. The organisation has a significant partnership with TATA TRUST, receiving referrals and connecting with support partners. Mahima Ministries ensures their well-being by providing food, shelter, clothing, medical care, and even handling funeral rites when necessary. It operates under the regulations and surveillance of the Women, Elderly, and Child Welfare Department and is working towards enhancing its services with an ambulance for better medical support and transportation during emergencies.

  • Upper Primary School

After relocating Mahima Ministries CCI to Ameenpur, the organisation recognized the challenges faced by the children who had to walk over 1 km to attend school, often in unsafe conditions. To address this, in 2014, Mahima Ministries received permission to establish an Upper Primary School within its campus. Currently, the school serves 70 children and is also open to the local community, providing a safer and more accessible educational environment.
