Yashoda Foundation (YF) is a non-profit organization working for underprivileged children - orphaned, abandoned, destitute and other vulnerable groups Read more and their communities towards a wholesome future filled with hope, dignity, justice, and peace. EDUCATION Community Learning Centers(CLC): The Yashoda Foundation started its first community learning center in 2014 in response to many families struggling to afford quality education for their children in government-run schools. Through CLCs' it is its goal to provide holistic learning opportunities for underprivileged children who could not otherwise afford them. Since the Pandemic 7 onsite CLCs are active, and one tribal CLC in the Mulugu district. The foundation also has a digital learning platform called YF - Digital CLC that was initiated as a response to address the learning needs of the children during the COVID-19 pandemic. This has paved the way for a hybrid model of learning for children. The children, adolescent girls, in particular, are provided a programming course in collaboration with the GirlCode Humanitarian International Organization equipping the adolescent girls with computer skills as well as training them in coding - Python, web designing, and Photoshop at the DCLCs. Currently, the Yashoda Foundation’s geographic area of operation is Telangana state, and specializes in working with the most deprived, vulnerable, and difficult-to-reach sections of children and their families in poor urban and peri-urban communities.

Impact

To date, the foundation has impacted the lives of 958 children and their families through our education initiative. FEED THE HUNGRY (Food distribution program) - The foundation launched a food initiative called "Feed the Hungry" food distribution program on July 4th, 2021 and to date, it has served 50,000+ meals to underprivileged children, senior citizens, leprosy patients, and daily wagers.

  • Community Learning Centres

    The foundation’s Community Learning Centres (CLCs) are dedicated to enhancing children's education and addressing any learning disparities to ready them for higher studies. The goal is not to substitute formal schooling but to complement it. It emphasizes engaging children in sports, reading, and a variety of other extracurricular activities. These centres aim to create a holistic environment that nurtures children's interests and strengths, providing them with opportunities to explore and discover more about themselves.

  • Inspiration Home

    The Inspirational Home caters to underprivileged children, providing essential necessities such as food, shelter, clothing, education, and healthcare. The facility comprises three bedrooms, a bathroom, two halls, a spacious kitchen, and a storage room. Each child is provided with a personal closet to store their belongings and essential household items. Additionally, in the evenings, the open hall within the home serves as a space for the children's educational tuition classes.

  • Social Enterprise

    Yashoda foundation partners with farmer collectives to provide organic products to leading corporations, collaborating closely with their CSR initiatives to support social enterprise development. The aim is to connect underprivileged community collectives with corporate companies, linking the produce from the former to meet the needs of the latter. Through diverse CSR initiatives, it aims to align community efforts with the wellness objectives of the employees, fostering mutually beneficial partnerships that bridge the market gap and uplift communities.
