DORD(Daudnagar Organisation for Rural Development) is a NGO that works for the upliftment of the poor and marginalized sections of the society, empowe Read morerment of women in both urban and rural areas and eradicates poverty, diseases, malnutrition, patriarchal violence, and exclusion. It strives towards its vision of the empowerment of the society through knowledge and action.   There are various projects running under DORD which includes DORD Hospital, schools, free of cost cataract surgeries for poor and old people. The DORD hospital has expanded its reach far to the southern parts of Bihar where no eye care services are available . It has performed around 50,000+ surgeries in last 10 years of its existence of which 79% have been free of cost.   The principal beneficiaries of the Anganwadi Training Centre are adolescent girls, all children below 6 years of age, pregnant and lactating mothers.

    To receive and provide the necessary assistance and accessibility to children living in vulnerable conditions and catchment areas like railway platforms, crowded market areas, tourist destinations, bus stands, near Gandhi Maidan, Mandi's, etc., DORD is operating a 25-bed Open Shelter for Children in Central Patna as a 24-hour Crisis Management Centre.

    Facilities and an atmosphere that support rehabilitation are developed to draw in vulnerable youngsters who require care and rehabilitation. In this situation, Open Shelter acts as a location where kids can have healthy, timely meals by the established rules. On average, 28 kids come to the Open Shelter every day, and 15 of them spend the night there. Two numbers of kids with physical disabilities.

  • Anganwadi Training Centre (AWTC)

    We have all the infrastructure required to provide 60 Anganwadi Workers (AWWs) with residential facilities and training on ICDS services in Sevika and Sahayika.

    One of the primary parts of the training materials is care, additional meals, and nutritional supplements. Additionally, we expose them in various settings, such as PHCs, AWCs, and schools.

    We have been offering AWWs from several areas, including Aurangabad district, a continual training curriculum.
